Spring in Vienna

Vienna is one of the places that I've always wanted to visit. And we recently had an opportunity to have a little adventure in this wonderful city.  It was a  short but totally memorable vacation. Wien/Vienna, is just amazing  with  many beautiful historic attractions and cultural treasures.  We spent our days exploring the city by walking . Vienna has a very good transportation system, that brings you to almost everywhere you want to go. In this beautiful weather, we thoroughly enjoyed walking. Furthermore, our hotel was just within walking distance to just about everything.  Even on a rainy day I still enjoyed a lovely walked through the old city. When we got tired, there were always nice cafes  to stop at and refresh.
April,  is the best time to visit Vienna. It's spring... everything seems so beautiful and fresh.
On the third day of our stay was an absolutely  gorgeous day. The sun shone bright, despite the cool air. We took the opportunity to visit a nearby park. We spent half the day strolling along the park and photographing.

I just love this flower clock.

The park is bursting with colours. Tulips are blooming everywhere. Absolutely gorgeous!

Different varieties of tulips.

I wish everyone a wonderful day. Till then...

Back home and blogging again

It has been a while since I last posted.  We were away on a month long vacation. The time of the year when we got to visit families and friends and of course enjoying good food. As much as I enjoyed it,  at the end of the day it's always good to be back home again. The only disadvantage is coming home to this hot and humid weather. With the air conditioner running 24 hours a day, I guess I could live with it. So less time outdoor hence giving me more time catching up with things that I enjoy doing.
The last few days I have been overwhelmed with a lot of chores to do round the house, unpacking, laundry, cleaning, not to mention the jetleg still kicking in as well. After all the hard work,  you can't imagine how glad I am that everything is back in its place again. So basically things are pretty much back to normal in my home.
Honestly... after a while I find it's a little hard to get myself back into  blogging mode again. So just  for  a start, it's best to keep it short and simple by  sharing some of the photos taken  during the holidays.
Here goes...
Our journey started from The East Cost of Malaysia. Back to nature at Lake Kenyir.

Then flew across  South China Sea to  Borneo Island.

After 9 days, we flew back to West Malaysia.  Drove about 90 km from Kuala Lumpur to  Port Dickson. Our favorite spot for the last 3 years with lots of beautiful beaches.

That's about it. Till then....  have a wonderful weekend.

A late entry.........Wonderful end to the year 2010

A great family vacation in Dubai and came home to a beautiful bloom in the garden followed by a week of quality time with my kids at home, was a great ending to the year 2010.
I wish everybody a very Happy and prosperous New Year. I know I'm a little bit behind on this. Like everybody else, I'm looking forward for a better and exciting year ahead.
Speaking of family vacation, Dubai was again our chosen destination. This time, we didn't rush on anything as we have visited the place before. It was relaxing, the kids got to enjoy themselves at the water theme park, mom and the girls enjoyed the shopping spree (that's a must-thing-to-do) and other than that, our time mostly spent enjoying the stunning view of the Marina Bay which is just behind the apartment where we stayed.
I'm sharing here some of the photos taken during the vacation.
View from the window of the apartment.
View from the swimming pool.
A good day for cycling.

It's been a long time...

We arrived safely in Doha 3 days ago. 5 weeks without blogging is way too long, and now I'm catching up on others' blogs and of course a lot of unpacking to do. Seriously, I really hate unpacking. If only they could unpack themselves.. I think I should procrastinate. Anyway...the holidays are over and it's time to get back to reality.
The 5-weeks vacation was great. The food, places and of course the food and again the food. It was nice meeting friends and the loved ones once again. But I'm having one little regret for not being able to meet 2 of my good friends due to our busy schedule. Hope to catch up with these 2 lovely ladies next time.
Apart from having the opportunity to meet families, relatives and friends, vacation in Malaysia is all about food. From durian, ABC, rojak and all those yummy scrumptious food, so irresistible.
Alamak!!! Someone's putting on weight. Nasib baik le puasa. It's just a purrrfect time for cleansing and detoxification.
FYI, We are on the 2nd day of fasting and I hope it's still not too late to wish all Muslim friends and bloggers A Happy and Blessed Ramadhan. I'm glad to be home...

Thought I'd share these..
At Marriot Sea Resort and Spa, Miri. A breathtaking view of the open sea.
