DIY Potting bench

I've always wanted a little cute potting bench. A nice workspace cum storage for my gardening tools and also  a perfect getaway in the backyard.  Since I've been dreaming about having it for quite sometimes, It's time to get to work and make it happen. So... I did a little DIY project. It wasn't as I expected. Hammering, assembling parts, painting etc. It was pretty difficult but I had a great time creating it.

Here it is. My very own potting bench. I wish I could have more shelves on it. But for now, I couldn't be more happier.

Under a shady tree, just a perfect place for it.

Decorating it. Always my favorite thing to do.

Seed packets in a basket.

*** Did I mention earlier  that I need  more shelves?  I did. Well....I wasn't patient enough.  So, I bought one metal shelf, assembled it and put it beside my potting bench. Completo!!  This is my favorite project ever.

  1. Love your potting bench - especially the color.

We're getting ready to move to a hundred-year-old farmhouse and I'd just love to have a potting bench. I'm pinning yours for inspiration.

  2. I like your potting bench... you did a great job pulling everything together. I admire that you did it yourself... I'm pretty sure I would have a hard time doing that. I really enjoyed this post and all the lovely photographs.
